Great Books

There have been many books that have been influencial in my life.

Power Vs. Force

This was my first book in my transformation. It ultimately started change for me. Outside of a textook it had been the only book I read cover to cover in years. The book allowed me to realize just how powerful the mind truly is and how it connected with the body. This was just the start for me.

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Spiritual Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams and Reaching Your Destiny
A great story that teaches while it inspires you. At first the title caught my attention but it was a great book. One that I have recommended on many occassions with great feedback. The booo is about one man’s journey of spiritual enlightenment. But what I loved outside of this man’s journey was that built into the story were tools and/or exercises that you can use yourself.

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom
A very powerful book. It had me look at some self-limiting beliefs and I really got present to how much I judged myself and others. The book also dicusses four agreements that one should make with themself and live by on a daily basis. I certainly do!

Complete Conversations With God
This book is sensational. People talked about this book to me for years and I really bumped up against the word ‘God’ in the title and refused to read it. I ended up getting the movie given to me by a friend and after watching it I knew I just had to read it. When I was introduced to the book I was really confronting religion and didn’t want anything to do with the book. The movie helped open my eyes and see that it had nothing to do with religion. It has a lot of insights to understanding the world/universe. Check out the movie trailer!

Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives

I have yet to read the book, I went straight to video:) A great movie based on the life of elite gymnast Dan Millman. Dan a cocky gymnastic sustains a serious injury in which Doctors tell him he will never compete again. Devastated Dan meets a spiritual guide(Nick Nolte) who takes him on a journey of enlightenment.
